Mr. Anderson was present and asked, ,that the Road ,.comnit`t-ee, look. the _
matter of removing asphalt from xmdmxxthe drain under the street
at his place. Road Committee instructed to do so.
The request --,of Otto Worthy that the we put,1:n- the Badminton
courts at'..the West Covina School was granted.and Bain was
instruc-ted'Ab go ahead and have this work' done' at cost.
The City At:to'rne presented a proposed agreament between the County
of Los Ahj3eles, cting_:as, the governing body _of the San Gabriel
a
Valley County Fire' Protection Disariet', and the City of West
Covina, wherein the County agrees -to send. 'the Baldwin_ Park fire
Engine .-to' fires on cell. of the City " T.' West, Covina for 71.00
for the,71r.st hour d.nd- $35.00_ per hour.- for additional time. It
was moved'by Councilman'`Batchelder,, seconded bi Councilman
Herring,; , and carried that..the City enter into said agreement,
and that the Mayor and 'City Cl-er'k be' authbriied to execute
same on.behalf of the City.
It was moved- by Councilman Datchelder., 'seconded by- Councilman
Kendall;-. duly put and. carried,- 'tha.t the. City of West�Oo.rina
accept -t1 e offer of The La Puente Water Co. ,to; sell the lot
100 X 200' feet, on which the city has a,, lea -se; for a building
for housing the City°s road equipment, at: the price of �$500.00
as stated in option in lease. The City Clerk was instructed to r: _
notify ,.the seller to prepare .deed_. and ;ce*tiflcate of title to
City of -Vest Covina.
