The City Council of the City of ' West Covina,` met June 10,- 1.942, at
1808 V. State Hlghway.' Those present were:' - Kendall, Mossberg,
Robinson, Herring and Batchelder.
The minutes of the meetings of May 13, 1949;'and May 28, 1942, were
read and approved. _
The foftO' v ing' bills Were 'read by the clerk .and upon motion by Coun-
cilman Mossberg, seconded by Councilman Kendall ,duly put -and
carried, were allowed and ordered paid.

It was moved by Councilman Mossberg, seconded by Councilman Herring,
duly put and carried, that the City buy 200 gallons of paint to
paint the white strip in the center of the streets.

Letters from Mr. William J. Steinbrink applying for the job of chief
of police, and Mr. Owen J. Wheeler, applying for the night -watch -
mans job, were read and upon motion by Councilman Kendall, second-
ed by Councilman Herring, duly put and carried, were ordered
placed on file.
A motion was made by Counoilma.n Kendall, seconded.by councilman -
Herring, duly put and carried, authorizing the City Treasurer.
to execute the agreement with the Bank of America Covina Branch,
to place '$15,000.00 city funds.in an inactive account.to;draw,
a interest t the re.te of Of 1 % in accordance witn ,the= terme *
of the agreement.
It was moved by Councilman Herring, seconded by Councilman Batch-
elder, duly put and carried, authorizing the `ayor to appoint
a committee to. investigate the possibility of building.a place
to house the road equipment, Mayor Robinson then appointed.
Councilmen Herring, Kendall and Batchelder to act on this
Committee.
It was moved by Councilman Keddall, seconded by Councilman Batch-._.
elder, duly put and carried, that the city purchhse an -air horn,
and Mayor Robinson appointed councilmen Kendall and Batchelder
to purchase same.
Ordinance No. 92*,.entitled an ordinance of the City of West+,Covina
regulating the..keeping of dogs and dog Kennels in the City of
came up for Its -second reading.
There being no further business to come before the Council -the
meeting was duly adjourned
