March 12, 1941,
The City Council --of the City. of -West Covina, met, March 12.; 194.1, at
1843 West State Highway. Those present were; C.P.Kendall, L. Reeg,
C.I. Batchelder and D.H. Robinson. Absent; J.K. Hedges.
The minutes of the meeting ,of .February ..5, 1941..were read and
approved as read. -
The following bills were presented by
the Clerk and on motion by -
Councilman Kendall, seconded by Councilman Reeg, duly put and
-carried, were allowed and ordered-

Mr. Al Rulofsonof -the ,"firm of Diehl & Edwards, Auditors was present
and submitted a bid for 'doing the auditing for the City of West
Covina,.. but_ no. action was .taken, it being the . opinion, of the
'Council that we should retain Mrs. Crenshaw.,
Mr. McGarry of the Union Oil Company was present -and quoted gasoline
prices for the City of West Covina as follows; 10,.37 on Union
76, and 12".37 on Union Ethel. No ad)tion taken.
It was moved by Councilman Kendall,.seconded by Councilman Reeg,. that..
Mrs. Fern V'. Sayers, City -Treasurer .open _an Account -at .the .Covina
National Bank known as "City of West.Covina, Special Account",'..and
that she deposit all monies received from the Department of Build- .
ing and Safety, and that she be authorized to draw checks against
said account.
Ordinance No. 89, entitled an ordinance amending ordinance_No. 31,.
entitled "An ordinance providing for the creation in -the City. -of
West Covina, of zones consisting of various districts and -pres-
cribing the classes,of buildings, structures and improvements
in the said several zones and the uses thereof" by adding.thereto
a new sectionto be numbered Section 12, was: --put on its final.
and was adopted by the following votes, to -wit
Ayes: Reeg, Kendall, Batchelder and Robinson -
Noes: 'None
Absent: Hedges 4'
Ordinance No. 90, ent`itled and ordinance amending ordinance No. 31,
entitled "An Ordinance providing for the creation'in.the City of
West Covina, of zon'ea consisting of various districts and prescri-
bing the classes !of'buildings, structures and improvements in .the
said several zones and the uses thereof" by adding thereto a new
section to be numbered Section 12, came up for its.second.reading.
There being no further business to come before the'Councii the"meet-
ing was duly adjourned.
