Ray D. Crenshaw City Auditor was present
and recommended that the
City. buy .an,. automobile from the
_Street. Improvement fund. .
Mr. C.F. Hassheider was present, and
asked that -the City secure'a map
of the proposed freeway that is
to be built through West Covina
from the State-Highway.Department.
Mr. Mossberg-was-present and asked
for a permit.to erect a restaurant
on his property.
Ordinance No. 90, entitled an.ordinance amending ordinance No. 31
entitled 4An Ordinance providing for the creation in the City of
West Covina, of zones consisting of various districts and prescribing
the 'classe.e.of_buildings, structures.and,improvements.in the said,.
several'zones'and the uses thereof"..by adding".:thereto`a.new section
to'be .numbered° Section 12, came -up,.for. its first. reading.,'
The following ordinances Nos 84, 85, .86, 87,and 98 were. put,.on final
passage and were adopted :by the fMllowing votes, ..to,.wit,
Ayes: J.K.Hedges, D.H. Robinson, C.P. Kendall and L. Reeg.

Ordinance No. 84, entitled an ordinance of the City of West Covina,
regulating the qualifications of masher plumbers, Journey plumbers
and apprentices in the City of West Covina.,
Ordinance No. 85, entitled anI:.ordinance of the City of West Covina,
regulating the qualifications of electricians in the City of West
Covina.
Ordinance No. 86, -'entitled and ordinance of the City of-.Wes't Covina,
regulating`, -the installation, arrangement, alteration, repair, use
and operation of electrical wiring, connections,.fixtures, and
other electrical -appliances in buildings and other structures
within the City of West Covina.
Ordinance N9. 87, entitled an ordinance .of the City of-Mest Covina,
adopting a building;'code to regulate the construction,— er,ction,
enlargement, razing, alteration, repairing, removal, -.:maintenance,
moving, use and height.of buildings, or structures in-the.'City, of
West Covina.
Ordinance No. M . entitled an ordinance of the City. of West Covina,
regulating sanitary plumbing and house drainage -in the City of
West Covina and prescribing the conditions under which,plumbing
may be.carried on,therein.
Ordinance No. 89, entitled an ordinance amending ordinance No.:31
entitled "An ordinance providing for the creation in:,the City: -of
West Covina, of zones consisting of various districts'and
prescribing the classes of buildings, structures and improvements
in the said several zones and the uses thereof" by.adding thereto
a new section to -be numbered Section 12, came up-for.its'second
reading.
The Clerk read a letter from Joseph A. Sprankle; Attorne 6-0-00,
asking
damage from the -.City of West Covina in theamount,of
for injuries he'claims his client received in the collision -in
which .Fred Ham. met _;death, the city Attorney was instructed to
answer the letter and refer him to our insurance co.
Upon motion -by Councilman &endall, seconde %by Councilman Reeg;'
duly put and carried, the city is to buy a Buick Automobile
as per bid filed -with. -the City Clerk.
It was moved by Councilman Kendall,�seconded by Councilman'Reeg,
and carried, authorizing Mr. Reeg and Joe Fritsch to purchase
'the necessary radio - and other equipment- for. the - new car.'
There being no fu the business to come before the Council the
meeting was duly ardjourned
