The City Council of the City of Nest Covina met -October 30, 1940, at
184' 'Nest State Highway. Those present were: L. Reeg, C.P. Kendall,
J.K. Hedges, C.I. Batchelder and D.H. Robinson.
kr. Meeker, Mr. McLain and Er. 'Ells representing Lambert Farms, c.nd sir.
King representing the State Highway Department were present for
the purpose of discussing the Meeker subdivision and the recording
of the maps thereof.
4T . King asked that the City take no action until Mr. Cortelyou could
be pr4sent with the attorney for the State.
It was moved by Councilman Batchelder, seconded by Councilman Kendall,
and carried, that the Clerk write a letter to Mr. Alfred Jones,
County Surveyor, asking him to ignore the letter written on Oct-
ober 26, 1940, and that the subdivision maps of Tract No. 11502
be permitted to go on record.
The matter of having the County of Los Angeles do our issuing of per-
mits and the inspecting of all buildings being built was discussed
but no action was taken. The clerk was instructed to write a
letter to 1dr. Thos. E. Foster our present building ir-r--tor -Ind
ask him to be present at our next meeting to be held November 13,
194o.
