Mowder, L.Reeg, J.K. Hedges, C.H. Coffman and D.H. Robinson. The minutes of the meeting of December 6, 1939, were read and approved. Birren for a variance on Lot I?, Tract No. 11321, for the purpose of building a Gasoline -Service station, and on motion by Councilman Reeg, seconded by Councilman Robinson, that said variance be granted and that an ordinance be adopted providing for said variance. Ordinance No. 80, entitled an ordinance amending ordinance no. 31 d entitle"An ordinance providing for the creation in the City City of West Covina, of zones consisting of various districts and prescribing the classes of buildings, structures and improve- ments in the said several zones and the uses thereof" by adding thereto a new section to be nur:ibered Section 12, came up for its first reading. On application A.E.* Birren for a building permit as per plans present- ed to the Council of the City of West Covina, for the erection of a gasoline service station on Lot 32, Trgct No. 11231, and on motion by Councilman Hedges, seconded by Councilman Coffman and carried, that said permit be issued in accordance with the ordinances of West Covina. Resolution No. 48, entitled a resolution asking the County Road Dept. to make a survey and estimate of making a concrete dip 'across Walnut Wash on California Ave. was offered by Councilman Reeg, seconded by Councilman Hedges, and unanimously carried. Resolution No. 4.9, entitled a resolution to accumulate the*Gasoline tax with the State of `'alifornia, was offered by Councilman Robinson, seconded by Councilman -Coffman, and was unanimously adopted. Upon motion by Counci.'a-^an.
