The City Council of the .City of West Covina, met, March 8, 1939, at
1843 Nest State Highway..Those present were: L.Reeg, D.H. Robinson
and C.H. Coffman. Absent: F.L. Mowder and J.K. Hedges.
The minutes of February 8, and March 1, were read and approved.
The following bills were presented by the Clerk and on motion by
Councilman Reeg, seconded by Councilman Robinson, duly put and
carried, were allowed and ordered paid.

Upon motion by Councilman Robinson, seconded by Councilman Reeg,
duly put and carried, the police department was ordered to
install a private telephone.
Resolution No. 41, entitled a resolution approving the cost of the
additional zax:k work in surfacing our streets.

The tentative map filed by. Leo Meeker at the meeting of February
9, 1939, was considered and on motion by Councilman Robinson
seconded by gouncilmam Reeg, and carried, the map in present
form was not accepted, and the clerk instructed to notify Mr.
Meeker that certain changes in the streets would be necessary
before the map could accepted, particularly as to streets
intersecting the Highway. And the Map filed by O.J. Findley
is not acceptable in present form as'streets do not conform
to streets -in the proposed subdivision of Leo Meeker.
There being no further business to come before the Council the
meeting was duly adjourned.
