The City Council of the City of Vest Covina., met March 1, .1939, at
1843 West Statehighway. Those present were: C.H. Coffman, L.Reeg,
D.H. Robinson, J.K. Hedges and F.L. F..owder. Absent none.
Resolution No. 40, entitled a resolution accepting; the street paving
job as complete and satisfactory, was offered by Councilman
Coffman, seconded by Councilman Raeg, and unanimously carried.
The periodical estimate for partial payment for January 1930, No. 3,
and February 1939, No. 4, for '"15,303,62 and .'17548,37 respect-
ively was presented and upon motion by Councilman Coffman, seconded
by Councilman Hedges, duly put and carried, the clerk was
instruc-ted to make a check to S.I4i. Yilovich for ..�7548,37, the first
amount having already been paid.
• Upon motion by Councilman Hedges, seconded by Councilman Robinson,
duly put and carried, the clerk was instructed to make a check
to the Los Angeles County Road Department for �42.26, ""12.26
for Engineering, and '30.00 for testing and handling.
0.Iff. Finely presented a prelininary Subdivision map of Tract No.
11838 and same was placed on file.
Upon motion by Councilman Coffman, seconded by Councilman Robinson,
duly put and carried, the clerk was instructed to make a. check
to Nellie Reeg for $75.00 for extra work made necessary by -.the
P'AlA contract.
Mr. Fox of the Los Angeles County planning Commission was present
and the Council discussed the possibility of -the County taking
over the issuing of building permits and the inspecting of
all buildings and construction.
There being no .further business to come before the Council the
meeting was duly adjourned.
