February &, 1939
The City Council of the City of ?Vest Covina, met February 8, 1939,
1843 ''Vest State Highway. Those present were: C.H. Coffman, L.
Reeg and D.H. Robinson. Absent: E.L. Mowder and J.K. Hedges.
In the absence of 1,iayor Mowder, Councilman Coffman acted as
chairman of the meeting.
The minutes of the meeting of January 11, 1939, were read and
approved.
The following billswere presented by the Clerk and on motion by
Councilman Robinson, seconded by Councilman Reeg and carried,
the bills were allowed and ordered paid.

An agreement between 'the County of Los Angeles and the City of 'Yti'est
Covina, wherein the City of Ieest Covina agrees to employ the
County fire fighting equipment located at San Dimas, California,
at an agreed sum of '50.00 per cell for the first hour and �"25:00
.for each additional hour or fraction thereof, was presented by
-the Clerk and on motion by Co,-,ncilman Reeg, seconded by Co,Mcil-
man Robinson, duly put and carried, the Layor was authorized to
execute said agreement on behalf of the City of +lest Covina.
?:r. Leo Meeker, his attorney Harry J. McClean were present and pre-
sented a tentative map of tract No. 11798 in the City of ''rest
Covina for approval by -the City Council. The map was placed on
file and a copy was receipted for by the Clerk and delivered to
the City attorney to return to Attorney bcClean.
Due to bad weather in December and January lir. S.v". Milovich was
unable to complete his contract with the City of Best Covina_,
and asked for an extension of thirty days, and upon motion
by Councilman Reeg, seconded by Councilman Robinson, duly put
and carried this request was granted.
There being no further business to come before the Council the
meeting was duly adjourned.
The foregoing minutes of the meeting of the Council of the City of
'Nest Covina of February 8, 1939, are duly recorded on pages 487-
489 of the book of record of said Council.
