The City Council of the City of West Covina, met October 12, 1935, 8tt
1543 West State Highway. Those present were: L. Reeg, F.L. Mowder,
J.K. Hedges, D.H. Robinson. Absent: C.H. Coffman
The minutes of the meeting.of September 14, 1939,.were read and
approved.
The following bills were presented b-y the clerk and on motion -by
councilman Reeg, seconded by Councilman Hedges, duly put and
carried, were allowed and ordered paid..

Mr. F.L. Douglas City Engineertendered his
resignation as City
Engineer, and on motion by Councilman
Robinson, seconded by
councilman Hedges, duly put and carried,
said resignation was
accepted.

Resolution No. 31, entitled a -resolution accepting the offer of the
United States Government to grant financial aid in resurfacing
the streets of West Covina, was offered by Councilman Hedges,
seconded by Councilman Robinson and was unanimously -adopted.
Resolution No. 32,, entitled'a resolution setting forth the labor
scale to be used in. completing the .P*N.A. porj.eot in resurfacing
the streets of West Covina, was offered by Councilman Reeg,
seconded by Councilman.Hedges and was unanimously adopted.
Resolution No. 33 entitled a resolution withdrawing our accumulated
one -quarter 4) cent gas tax.funds which have been accumulating
with the State Highway Department since 1935,, was offered by -
Councilman J.K. Hedges,.4and was unanimously adopted. .
Resolution No. 34, entitled a resolution withdrawing our accumulated
gas tax funds or any other funds now in possession of the County
Road 'Department was offered by Councilman J.K. Hedges and was
unanimously adapted.
Ordinance No. 73, entitled an ordinance forbidding the discharge
of firearms in.the City of West Covina without a permit
•came up for its second reading.
Ordinance No. 74, entitled an ordinance prohibiting certain
portions of Sunset Avenue, Hollenbeck Avenue, Azdsa Avenue
and Baranca Avenue by any vehicle exceeding a gross weight
ofl%0000 pounds came up for its second reading.
There being no further business to come before the Council the
meeting was dull -adjourned.
