The City Council of the City of West Covina met May 14, 1939, at
the Police Court Room, 1943 West State Highway. Those present
were: F.L. Mowder, J.K. Hedges, C.H. Coffman and L. Reeg.
This was a special meeting called to consider the resignation of
Mayor Jackson, who had tendered a resignation effective at
once.
After considerable discussion it was decided not to accept this
resignation at this time, with the idea that Mr. Jackson might
be be persuaded to reconsider.
• There being no further business to come before the Council the
• meeting was duly adjourned.
The foregoing minutes of the meeting of the Council of the City
West Covina of May 14, 1938, are duly recorded on page 464
of the book of record of said Council.
