March 9, 1938.
The City Council of the City of West Covina met March 9, 1938, at
the Police Court Room 1843, West State Highway. Those present
were: L. Reeg. P.R. Jackson, C.H. Coffman and J.K. Hedges.
Absent: F.L. Mowder,
The minutes of the meeting of February 16, 1938, were read and
apprived.
The following bills were presented by the Clerk and on motion by
councilman Hedges, seconded by Councilman Ree,,duly out and
carried, were allowed and ordered paid.

Upon. --mot•imi••by-Vouncilman-. Reeg, seconded by Co-On.cilman Hed es, duly
put and carried, it was voted to pay Miss Nellie Reeg 975.00 perf
month as clerk of the Police Court, and to pay Judge Reed $75.004'�
per month, and Glenn E. Shrader $12.50 per month for keeping the
books of the City of West Covina.
It was moved by Councilman Coffman, seconded by Councilman Ree, duly
put and carried, that Orval Davis be appointed Assistant Supt.
- of Streets at a monthly Salary of $180.00 per month

Upon motion by Councilman- Hedges, seconded by Councilman Coffman,
duly put and carried, the application presented by Mr. F.P.
Harris for an auto court to be erected on his propert, was,
held over until the April meeting.
Ordinance No. 71, entitled an Ordinance declaring Ora,'n.ge;Street,
and other streets in the City of West Covina,-wascput on its
final passage and was adopted by the following votes, t@-wit,

Ayes: C.H. Coffman, P.R. Jackson, J.K. Hedges and L. Reeg.
Noes: None
Absent: F.L..Mowder
There being no further business to come before the C.ouncil the
meeting was duly 4d.journed.
