The City Council of the City of West Covina met October 27, 1937, at
the Police Court. Room 1843 Test State Highway. Those Pres6nt
Were: J.K. Hedges, F.L. Mowder, and L. Reeg. Absent: P.R. Jackson
and C.H. Coffman.
This was a special meeting held for the purpose of canvassing the
votes cattin the "Easterly Addition No. 211,.held for the purpose
of voting upon the question of whether or nQt said district
shall De annexed to the City of West Covina.
Resolution No. 20, entitled a resolution declaring the results of
the special election held in the "Easterly Addition 211, was
offered by Councilman Mowder, seconded by Councilman Hedges,
and was adopted by the following votes:
Ayes: F.L. Mowder, J.K. Hedges and L. Reeg
Noes: None
Absent: P.R. Jackson and C.H. Coffman
Ordinance No. 69, entitled and ordinance annexing,to, incorporating
in and making a part of West Covina the "Easterly Addition No 2",
was offered by Councilman Hedges, seconded by Councilman Reeg,
and was adopted by the following votes:
Ayes: L.Reeg, J.K. Hedges and F.L. Mowder.
Noes: None
Absent: P.R. Jackson and C.H. Coffman
Resolution No. 21, entitled a resolution asking the County of Los. .
Angeles to perform the labor and the. City of West Covina furnish
the material to surface Orange Avenue form Merced south, was
offered by Councilman Reeg, seconded by Councilman Mowder and
unanimously adopted.
There being no further business to come before the Council the
meeting was duly adjourned.
The foregoing minutes of the meeting of the Council of the City of
West Covina of October 87, 1937, are duly recorddd on page
441 of the book of record of said Council.

That on the 30th day of October, 1937, there
was filed in my office the Certificate of the City
Clerk of the City Clerk of the City of West Covina,
In said State, under the seal of said city, stating
the date of the election held in adjacent territory
designated as EASTERLY ADDITION No. 2, at which the
question of the annexation of said territory to the
City of West Covina was submitted to the electors
thereof, the time and result of the canvass of the
returns of said election, by the City Council of said
city, the date of the passage of Ordinance No. 69,
approving such annexation, and containing a copy of
the record of said canvass, a copy of said ordinance,
and a description of said territory.
