The City Council of the City of West Covina rnet July 0., 1936, at the
Sest Covina Flub House. Those -present 'Vere; P.R.-Jackson, L. Reeg,
F.L. Mowder, J.K, Hedges, and C.H. Coffman. Absent: None.
The minutes of the meeting of June 10, 1936, were read and apnroved.
Tl�e following bills were presented -by the Clerk and,on motion by
Councilman Coffman, seconded by Councilman Reeg, duly put a,nd carried,
were allowed and ordered paid. ,

Ordinance No. 63. entitlee an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 31
entitled "An Ordinance providing for the creation in 1hhe City of
West Covina, of zones consisting of various districts and presc-
ribing the classes of buildings,- structures and improvements in the
said severalzones and the uses thereof" by addinP thereto a new
section to be numbered section 12, came up for its second reading.
Resolution No.10, entitled a resolution to accumulate the 4 cent Gaso-
line tax money to permit the accomplishment of a larger project to
be determined by 'the Council at a later date, was offered by Council-
man Hedges, seconded by Councilman Coffman, and was unanimously
• adopted.
A motion was offered by Councilman Mowder, seconded by Councilman R.eerr,
duly put a Carrie ;'that Oscar Jesse be paid .�4.50 per day, as of
July 11 1936.
A motion was offered by Councilman 11owder, seconded by Councilman Hedges,
duly put and carried, that Mrs L. Reed; be paid ")'20.00 per month for
the rent of her house to be used for a, place to hold police court.

Unon.motion by Councilman Coffman, seconded by Councilman Nowder,
duly ?out and carried, the, Cleric was instructed to secure t
tlae firm of Crenshaw Mehl and 7,'Jright to audit the City books
for the fiscal Y��ar ended Julie 30, 1936.
Ordinance No. 64 eititled an ordinance fixing; the tax rate at .30
ner 100.00 valuation for the fiscal year 1936-1937, OF:.rie -up
for its second reading.
There being no further business to come before the Council the
meeting was duly adjourned
