05-22-1936 - Special Meeting - Minutes4.0 I,, _VI I q !�& The City Council og the City of West Covina met May 22, 1936, at the West Covina Club House. Those present were: F.L. Mowder, P.R. Jackson, L. Reeg and J.K. Hedges. Absent: C.H. Coffman. This was a special meeting. Ordinance No. 61, entitled an ordinance providing for the punishment of persons in the City of.' West Covina found in a state of drunk- ness of intoxication, was put on its final passage, and was adopted by the following vote, to -wit, Ayes: P.R. Jackson, F.L. Mowder, J.K. Hedges, L. Reeg. Noes: None Absent: C.H. Coff;=. • Ordinance No. 62, entitled an ordinance prohibiting the obstruction of the highways, streets, and alleways of the city of West Covina and the parking of vehicles during the early hours of the morn- ing, was put on its final passage and was adopted by the follow- ing,. to -wit, Ayes: P.R. Jackson, F.L. Mowder, J.K. Hedges, and L. Reeg.. A resolution of March 12, 1936, a resolution approving the right of the Santa Fe Railroad to establish a bus service in the State of California, was rescinded. Resolution No. 9, entitled a resolution.approving the right of the Santa Fe Railroad to establish a bus service in the state of California, was adopted by the following vote, to -wit, Ayes: J.K. Hedges, P.R. Jackson, and L. Reeg. Noes: F.L. Mowder Absent: C.H. Coffman. On motion by Councilman Mowder, seconded by Councilman Reeg and carried, it was voted to pay Joe Fritch $5.00 for two tripe to the County Jail. There being no further business to come before the Council the meeting was duly adjourned. The foregoing minutes of the meeting of the Council of the City of West Covina ofMay 22, 1936 are duly recorded on page 404 of the book of record of said Council.
