The City Council of the City of West Covina met May le, 1936, at the
West Covina Club House. Those present were : P.R. Jackson, L, Reeg,
F.L. Mowder, J.K. Hedges and C.H.,Coffman. Absent: None.
The minutes of the Meeting of April 9, 1936 were read and approved:
The following bills were presented by the Clerk and on motion by
Councilman Reeg, seconded by Councilman Mowder, were allowed and
ordered paid:

Mr. Frank C. Criswell was present at this
meeting and ask for a
permit to erect and operate a restaurant on the State Highway
East of Citrus Ave. and upon motion
by Councilman Lowder, seconded
•
by Councilman Coffman and carried the
permit was granted.

Upon motion by Councilman Mowder, seconded
by Councilman Reeg and
carried, E.F. Walker was granted a
permit to sell ice cream at
Culp's service station.
Ordinance No. 61, entitled an ordinance
providing for the punish-
ment of persons in the City of West
Covina found in a state of
drunkness or intoxication, came up
for its second reading.
Ordinance No. 62, entitled an ordinance
prohibiting the obstruction
of the highways, streets, and alleyways of the City of West Covina
and the parking of vehicles during
the early hours of the morning
came up for its second reading.
It was moved by Councilman Mowder, seconded by Councilman Coffman and
carried that we order two more police badges and a badge for a
Police matron.

There being no further business to vome before the meeting it
was voted to adjourn.
