`nest Covina, California, November 13, 1935.
The City Council of the City of West Covina met November 13, 1935, at the West
Covina Club House. Those present were: F.L. Mowder, J.K. Hedges, L. Reeg,
Percy Jackson and C.H. Coffman. Absent: None.
The minutes of the meeting of October 9, 1935, were read and approved.
The following bills were presented by the clerk and on motion of F.L. Mowder,
seconded by C.H. Coffman and carried were allowed and ordered paid.

Mr. Smith announced that a neww contract with the First National Bank of Covina,
whereby they agree to 'pay us of 1% had been signed. The to be computed on
our daily balance, payable monthly.

At this time the meeting adjourned to "My Old Kentucky Home" on the Foothill Blvd.
near -Monrovia where Mr. Jackson treated us. all to a very lovely chicken dinner.
After dinner the main thing discussed was the proposed improvements.to be made at
the corner of pierced and Orange Avenues. Mr. Dougals reported that Mr. Jones
County Road Commissioner stated that after we had figured the cost and had
our plans complete, for us to present them to him and he would try to get the
Supervisors to appropriate enough money to complete this, job.
At the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of West Covina held at it's

regular place of meeting on November 13th at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the following
resolution was offered by Councilman Charles Coffman, seconded by Councilman
F.T.. Mowder and unanimously carried:
RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of West Covina request of the
Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, California, an appropriation not
to exceed the sum of Fifteen Hundred (41500.00) Dollars. for the purpose of
making the following improvements at the Southwest corner of Merced Street
and Orange Avenue in the City of West Covina, to exit: ezcavation for gutter;
storm drain; curbing; approximately 530 feet in length; resurfacing and re-
grading portions of Pierced Street and Orange Avenue in accordance with the

plans and specifications submitted herewith.
