Those present were: Percy Jackson, F.L. Mowder, J.K. Hedges, L. Reeg and C.H. Coffman. .,absent: None. The minutes of the meeting of June 12, 1935, were read and approved. Ayes: 1.1owder, Coffman, Hedges, Jackson and Reeg Noes: None Absent: None R ESO LUTIO N BE IT RE8OLVTD by the City Council of the City of West Covina. that VIFiEREAS, the Division of Highways of the State of California allege that they have heretofore entered into an agreement with the former City Council of the City of West Covina whereby said City was to repay to said Division of Highways through the Department of Public 1'lorks of the State of California,the sum of Twenty-five Hundred ( 2500.00) Dollars, expended by said Department of Public Works on the storm drains for the City of West Covina at the intersection of Irwin- dale Avenue with the State Highway in said City, and VEEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covina have no knowledge of any such agreement, nor do the records of the City Clerk of the City of West Covina disclose any agreement to this effect, and ItiHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vilest Covina has never had any notice of any such agreement, at any meeting of said City Council or at any other.time, except through letters from said State Division of Highways and by conversation with members of the staff of the Division of Highways of the State of California, and 0MEREAS, the City Council of the City of Viest Covina having confidence in the sincerely and integrity of the officials of the Division of Highways of the State of California in their allegation ab to the existence of such an agreement with the former City Council of the City of West Covina, and that the City Council is fully aware
