The City Council of the City of West Covina met May 8, 1935,
at the Nest Covina Club House. Those present Mere: F.L. Mowder,
C.H. Coffman, L. Reeg and P.R. Jackson. Absent: J.F. Hedges.
The minutes of the meeting of April 109 1935, were read and approved.
The following bills were presented by the Clerk and on motion of
Ivlr. Idowder, seconded by Mr. Coffman were allowed and ordered
paid.

There was a gentleman present at this meeting with a proposition
to sell the City of VIest Covina a check protector. On motion
of Iir. Ialowder seconded by EIr. Coffman and carried this matter
was taken under advisement.
Mr. Childs of Francisquito Avenue carve before the Council and asked
that Orange Avenue form Merced South to the City limits be
surfaced, and Iar. I4owder was instructed to contact Mr. Jones of
the County Road Department and see when it would be possible
for him to meet with the City Council of West Covina and see what
could be done about this work.
IIr. J.L. Scott came before the Board and asked for a permit to build
a porch 8 x 12 on the front of his house on Sunset Avenue, and
on IVIotion of I=r. Coffman, seconded by I.Ir. I.Iowder iand carried the
permit was granted.
Ordinance No. 57 an Ordinance a�iending Ordinance No. 31 came up for
its final passage and was adopted by the following vote, to -wit,
. Ayes: _powder, Jackson, Reeg and Coffman.
Noes: None

There being no further business to come before the Council the
meeting adjourned.
