The City Council of The City of West Covinamet March 13, 1935s
at the Nest Covina Club House. Those present were: L. Reeg,
F.L. Mowder, C.H. Coffman, J.K. Hedges and P.R. Jackson.
Absent: None.
The minutes of the meeting of February 13, 1935, were read and
approved.
The following bills were presented by the Clerk and on motion of
Mr. Coffman, seconded by Mr. Reeg were allowed and ordered
paid.

Mr. Victor Anderson of West Covina petitioned the Council for a
permit to erect and operate:.a gasoline Service Station on his
property at the South East corner of Sunset Avenue and the State
Highway in the City of West Covina. It was moved by Mr. Mowder,
seconded by Mr. Reeg and Carried that the permit be granted;
that a variance to the present zoning Ordinance be made to the
following described property of Mr. Anderson and that same be
placed in B zone, to wit,
Beginning at the intersection of center line of Arroyo Avenue
(State Highway) and Irwindale Avenue, being station 23 X 0658
on sheet 4 section C. Route 26, District = Division of High-
ways of the State of California, thence southerly on the pro-
longation of center line of Irwindale Avenue to intersection
with center line of Sunset Avenue; thence N. Ely along the pro-
longation of center line of said Sunset Avenue as shown in book
8 P. 186 of maps, records of Los Angeles County to intersection
with centerline of said Arroyo Avenue;thence Westerly along
said center line to the point ofbeginning. Except roads on Nly
and Wly sides. See official records B. 12926 P. 12 for vacation
of a portion of Sunset Avenue and recorded July 13, 1934.
And that the plans and specifications presented by Mr. Anderson
be approved and accepted in accordance with the application
filed with the Council,
