ThE City Council of the City,, of West Covina met November 14, 19341
at the West Covina Club House. ,�fhose present were: Baldosser,
Reeg, Coffman, Hedges and Jackson. Absent: None.
The minutes of the meeting of October 10, 1934, were read and
approved.
The following bills were presented by the Clerk and on motion of
Reeg seconded by Coffman were allowed and ordered paid.

The Clerk read a letter from the So. California Edison Co.
asking us not to pay any attention to a firm which claims to
be investigating the manner in which the public utilities
Companies are paying their franchise taxes.
Mr. Jackson mentioned the condition of the Culverts at some of
the places in West Covina, and after some discussion the Clerk
was instructed to write Mr. Summerhays a letter asking that he
do something to relieve the situation at his place on Puente
Street.
�Mr. Baldosser turned in his written resignation as a menber of the
• City Council. It was moved by Coffman and seconded by Hedges
that his resignation be accepted with regrets, and the Clerk
• was instructed to write a letter of thanks for the services he
has rendered as a member of this board. Unanimously carried.
After some discussion Mr. F.L. Movrder was unanimously appointed to
fill the unexpired term of Mr. Baldosser, and to serve until
the general election in 1936.
The Clerk was instructed to write a letter to Mr. S.M. Fisher,
County Flood Engineer, asking for i+laterial to do some flood
control work on Walnut wash at the intersection of California
Avenue, in the City of West Covina. The County Flood Control

to furnish the labor and see that the work is done.
