The City Council of the MIty of West Covina met August 8, 1934, at
the West Covina Club House. Those present were: Jackson, Reeg,
Baldosser and Coffman. Absent: Hedges.
The minutes df the meeting of July 11, 1934; were read and appro-
ved.
The following bills were presented by the Clerk and on motion of
Reeg seconded by Coffman were allowed and ordered paid.

Mr. Douglas was present and stated that the County Surveyor's office
says that the County Supervisors will not stand the expense of
numbering the houses in the City of West Covina, and on motion
of Mr. Reeg, seconded by Mr. Coffman and Carried it was decided
to table this question for the time being.
• The Clerk states that -he Had a call from lair. Gripper of the State
Highway department in regard to a certain agreement that the
• City of West Covina was to pass on and return same to his
office. I called Mr. Neely's home and he was a way so I was
instizucted to call Mr. Gripper and have some more copies of
said agreement sent out so that the City of Ylest Covina might
act on this agreement.
Mayor Jackson states that Lqr. Oscar Jesse is back and that is very
anxious to obtain work from the City of West Covina and states
that it would be well for the road Committee to keep this in
mind. He also says that it would be a good idea for .the City
to consider the question of buying a secondhand dump truck.

Mayor Jackson states that ire ordered the posts from the County
for the purpose of putting the names of the streets at each
intersection.
It was moved by Mr. Baldosser and seconded by Mr. Reeg that
Oscar Jesse be reemployed with instructions to statr.work
some time this fall. -Carried:
There being no further business to come before the.Council the
meeting adjourned.
The foregoing minutes of the meeting of the Council of the City of
west Covina, of August 13th 1934, are duly recorded on pages
350-351 of the book of record of said Council.
