The newly elected City Council of the City of West Covina held a
special meeting on April 18, 1934, immediately following the
canvassing the election returns, for the purpose of organi-
zation. Present: Robert H. Neely, C.H. Coffman, L. Reeg,
J.K. Hedges and Percy R. Jackson. Absent: None.
It was moved by Reeg and seconded by Hedges that Percy R. Jack-
son be elected 1v1ayor of the City of Nest Covina for the
term of four years. Carried,.
iAr. Neely asked the Council to accept his resignation, but on
motion of Coffman seconded by hedges and carried it was
decided to hold this over until the next meeting.
The Mayor appointed the Auditing Committee: Hedges and Neely
Street Committee: Reeg and Coffman.
It was moved by Coffman and seconded by Reeg and carried unani-
mously carried that Mr. Smith be appointed as City Attorney
for the ensuing four years.
There being no further business to come before the Board the,
meeting adjourned.

1934, respectively, on the question of the annexation of said
territory to said City, which :copies were duly certified by
the City Clerk of said City, together with a certificate by
said Clerk showing the datew�of such elections' and the time
and result of the canvass of thereturns of such elections,
and containing a descrip.tion.of such territory.
