West Covina, California, March 141 1934.
The Council of the City of Jest Covina met Larch 14, 1934 at the
West Covina Club douse. Those present were: Neely, Coffman,
Baldosser and Yarnell. Absent: Griffiths.
The minutes of the meeting of February 28, 1934, were read and
approved.
The following bills were presented by the Clerk.

It was moved by Mr. Yarnell and seconded by Mr. Coffman that
these bills be paid. Carried.
A certain number of people were here headed by Mrs. Jaroach
protesting against the closing of that portion of Sunset Ave.
which is being cut off by the opening of Irwindale through Mr.
Andersons Property. Mr Baldosser suggested that the matter
be taken up with the State Highway Department and see what
could be done about it. It was moved by Mr. Baldosser and
seconded by fir. Coffman $nd carried that this petition be
accepted and forwarded to the State Highway Department and
see what could be done.
The Clerk presented a bill from the State Compensation in the
amount of 183.01 for back Insurance. Included in this bill
was an item of $63.29 for tree topping done by Mr. Rousseau.
This work was done under contract and Mr. Rousseau carried
his own Insurance. The Clerk was instructed to write the
State Compensation Insurance Fund protesting the payment of
this item.
There being no further business to come before the Board the
meeting adjourned.

318 of the book of record of said Council.
