West Covina, California, Vanuary 3, 1934.
The City Council of the City of West Covina met January 3, 1934,
at the Vest Covina Club House: Those present were: Neely,
Baldosser, Coffman and Yarnell.
The purpose of the meeting was to adopt a resolution postponing
the election in the "Easterly Addition No.l« until the 24,
dayof February 1934.
It was moved by Mr. Baldosser and seconded by Mr. Coffman that
i the following resolution be adopted.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the election heretofore called by the City Council
® of the City of West Covina, for the purpose of annexing the
"Easterly Addition No.l" to the City of West Covina, was not
called in conformity with the 1933 ammendments by the State
M Legislature of the State of California to Act 5159 of the statutes

of California; and
WHEREAS, that several members of the residents of said
"Easterly Addition No.l" have requested the City Council of the
City of West Covina to. postpone said election.
j NOW THEREYORE,be it resolved by the Council of the City of
West Covina that notice of election heretofore called is hereby
withdrawn, cancelled and declared void and that no election
shall be held in said "Easterly Addition No.l" on January 6,
1934, as advertised.

The foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote.

Ayes: Neely, Baldosser., Coffman and Yarnell.
Noes: None
Absent: Drendel, Deceased.
A petition signed by more than one fourth of the qualified voters
in a district adjacent to the Easterly line of the City of
West Covina and referred to in said petition as "Easterly Addition
® No.l", was presented by C,C.Toland, City Clerk, said petition
requesting the City of West Covina call a special election in
said district for the purpose of annexing said district to the
City of West Covina
On motion of Mr. Yarnell and seconded by Mr. Coffman a resolution,
a copy of which is herein filed and made a part of these minutes,
was adopted by the following votes.
Ayes: Baldosser, Coffman, Yarnell and Neely.
Noes: None
Absent: Drendel, Deceased.
On motionby Mr. Baldosser-and Seconded by Mr Coffman the following
resolution was offered.
