West Covina, California, Dec. 13, 1933.
The Council of the City of West Covina met December 13, 1933, at
the Viest Covina Club House. Those present were: Neely, Coff-
man and Baldosser. Absent: Drendell and Yarnell.
The minutes. of the Council meeting of November 29, 1933, were
read and approved.
The following bills were presented by the Clem.

Mr. Coffman motioned and was seconded by Mr. ,Bfaldosser that these
bills be Paid. Carrie d .
Mr. Jobe and several other people were here protesting against the
annexation of the "Easterly Arulexat ion District #1". Mr.
Jobe says that he does iot want his property in this district
brought in to the City of ;hest Covina.
Mr. Neely presented a letter from the school board requesting the
assi.s.ta.nce of the City Council of the City of ";Iest Covina in
securing C. VII. A. furs to repair the school properties. Moved
by Coffman and seconded by Baldosser that the City Council
pledge their help in this matter, 'rut pledge no funds. Carried .
The clerk read a letter of protest from Ralph Bryan, protesting
to the City of West Covina and that he will hold the said City
liable for any damage done by the State Highway Department
turning the Tjbter ff.rom: Lark Alen down Glendora Avenue. The
Clerk vas instructed to forward a copy of same to State Nip-rh-
way Department.

the Qualified ;;lectors Residing in the said Territory the Question
of Annex ilig the Said- Territory to the City of 016st Covina") failed
to state that said notice of election should be published in a
newspaper of general circulation outside the proposed territory
to be annexed if no newspaper is published in said territory, but

Council .of the City of :`hest Covina oxi motion by Baldosser and
seconded .by Coffman adept the follo�rling resolution amending the
resolution of December lst, 1933, to..read that notice of the
annexation election of the "Easterly Annexation District ilo. I"
shall be published in the ."Puente Journal" for four successive
weeks beginning^ December 15, 1933, and that the date of said
election shall, be held , on January 6, 1934, and t rat the City
Clerk is hereby authorized to change the dates on the notices
heretofore posted to read January 6, .1934.
