West Covina, California, October 11, 1933.
The City Council of the City of West Covina -met October 11, 1933,
at the Lest Covina Club House. Those present 'were: Needy, Bald-
osser, Drendell and Coffman. Absent: Yarnell.
The minutes of the Council meeting of September .13, 1933, were
read and approved.
The following-; bills were presented by the Clerk.

It was moved by Drendell and seconded by Coffman that these
bills be paid. Carried.
The following re solution was offered . by Drerid ell and it was
seconded by Coffman that thisresolutionbe adopted.
Ayes: Baldosser, Drendell, Cof-4man' and Neely. Noes: None.
Absent: Yarnell.
RESOLUTION
� HFRTAS, under and by virtue of Chapter 767 of the
Statutes of 1933, the Department of Public Works of the State
of California is authorized to expend annually from the State
Highway fund an amount equal to one quarter of one cent per
gallon tax on motor vehicle fuel, after the proportionate
payments therefrom into the "Fuel tax enforcem.nt fund" and
after the proportionate refunds shall have been made, within
the incorporated cities and freeholder charter cities, and any
city and county in the State of California, for the purposes
specified in.said chapter, and in the manner provided by law,
and
iH RFAS, in accordance ,with the provisions of said
Chapter 767, .arid in accordance with the provisions of Sections
363r and 363y of the Political Code (Chapter 326 of the
Statutes of '1933) , the Department of Public lvorks, acting by
and through the California Highway Commission, has designated
as State Highways the following described streets in the
CITY OF WEST COV II1A, Los Angeles County

Route 26 Through West Covina
3.1 miles
Beginning at the northwest city limits
of West Covina about 500 feet east of Merced Avenue
on Garvey Avenue, thence easterly on Garvey Avenue
,bout 0.8 miles to Orange Avei'me, thence easterly
on Arroyo Avenue about 2.3 miles to the east city
limits of 'Vest Covina, a total distarce of 3.1 miles
more or less, within the .corporate limits of West
Covina;
Route 62 Through West Covina
3.1 miles
Beginning at the south city limits of
West Covina on Glendora Avenue, thence northeasterly
over Glendora Avenue to Arroyo Avenue (State Highway
Route 26) , thence easterly oxi Arroyo Avenue ( State
Highway Route 26), to Azusa Avenue, (this portion
of Arroyo Avenue, between Glendora Avenue and Azusa
Avenue, being common to State Highway Roue 26 and
Route 62), thence northerly over Azusa. Avenue to the
north city limits of West Covina, a total distance
of 3.1 miles on Route 62 within the corporate limits
of West Covina, exclusive of about 0.7 mile included
-under Route 26;
which said streets are existing tra.velable streets in t;he City
of 'Vest Covina, and approximately on the route of the. authorized
State Highways, and,
WHEREAS, the .Director of Public '.Yorks and the
California. Highway Commission have requested the City of
West Covina to approve the routine hereinbefore described
and to ,agree to -resume jurisdiction over said city streets,
or portions thereof, as may not be included in the State
highways, when the same are laid out, adopted; and constructed,
therefore,
BE IT RESOZVED, by the city council 'of the City of
West Covina., acting on behalf o'f said city, that said city
approve, and it does hereby approv.a, the routing_ of said
State Highways;
That upon the relinquishment of said streets, or
any portion thereof, to the City of West Covina, in the manner
provided ,by lava, said city agree, and does hereby agree,. to
resume jurisdiction over said streets, or portion thereof, so
relinquished.

adjourn. Carried.
