The City Council of the City of Nest Covina met at the West Covina
Club House on July.l6th, 1930. Those present were: S. L.
Watts, .0 H. Coffman, Arthur Yarnell, , Joseph Drendel, J. P.
Baldosser. Absent: None.
The Minutes of the Council Meeting held June 1lth, 1930, were read
and approved.
It was moved by Arthur Yarnell and seconded by C. H. Coffman that

Discassion of the request by the Fact Finding Commission of Los
Angeles as to whether the city of West' Covina will pay
25.00 for information regarding consolidation of City
and County Governments. There being no written com-
munication from the Fact Finding Committee for c.onsider-
at ion, the matter was not acted on.
Deputy Clerk was instructed to acknowledge receipt of V2500.00
from the County Supervisors .and to thank them for same.
Discussion as to advisibility of employing officer to patrol
highways of West Covina, and arrest.all speeders and all
reckless drivers.
It was moved by C. H. Coffman and seconded by Arthur Yarnell that
a motor, cycle officer be employed for.not more than five
days..per month. Carried unanimously.
Discussion as to'what'court arrested speeders should be tried in.
Nothing definitely decided.
It was moved by Joseph Drendel and seconded by C. H. Coffman
that the meeting adjourn. Carried.
