05-14-1930 - Regular Meeting - Minutes:lest Covina, California, May 14th, 1930.
The Council .of the City of West Covina, met at the '.Jest Covina Club
House on I.Iay 14th, 1930, Present: ��atts, Yarnell, Coffman,
Drendel, and Baldosser. Absent: None.
The meeting was called to order by. Mayor 1-7atts. The minutes of the
meet i.na of April 9th and of the special meeting of, April 21st , 1930,
were read and approved.
It was moved by' C. H. Coffman, and seconded by Arthur Yarnell that the
Mayor appoint an Aud it ing Commit -tee of three members and a. Street
Committee of three members. It vvas carried unanimously.
The Mayor-a.ppointad as members of the Auditing Committee: '. P. Bald-
osser, Joneth Drendel,, and C: H. Coffman.
The Mayor appointed as members of the Street Committee: Arthur Yar-
nell, F. P. Baldosser, end S. L. 1i1atts.
The following bills were audited by the Auditing Committee:

It was moved by Arthur Ya.rriell .and seconded by [P. P. Baldosser that
8.11 bills be -paid. Car tied W-lanimously.
The Clem read a. communication from J. '. Rockhold, County Surveyor,
advising the City Council of a .protest signed by 52.5 per cent of
the property holders on Rowland ;Avenue, from Vincent Avenue to
Puente Avenue, protesting the opening and improving of said street.
A request toy the Southern Counties Gas Company for a, permit to run a.
Gas line north on Orange Avenue from .Arroyo Drive. to W. S. T.TcY.in-
ley's pl€�,ce.was read. It. was moved by -Arthur Yarnell and seconded
by C. H. Coffman that the permit be granted. Carried unanimously.
It was moved by F. P. Baldosser and seconded by Arthur Yarnell that
8.11 employees of the road department, including Street Superintend -
ant .

a,yne 'Heaver, be given two weeks vacation with pay. The date
and time of the vacation to be arranged by the Street Superin-
tendent to uthe best interests of his department.
It was moved by C. H. Coffman and seconded by Arthur Yarnell that
the meeting adjourn. Carried Luaanimously.
