This was a special meeting called `r: c to ;eb.nvassthe,--r,etiiri:s.os:theieleetion April 14th, 1930, and to install the elected officers. Present: "Vats, Gloege, Coff- man and Yarnell. Absent.: King. The following is a, statement of the results: The whole number of votes cast in the City of `lest Covina was One Hundred Seventy-five (175). , The names of the persons voted for and the number of votes re- ceived by each are F. P. Baldosser .......... 100 Arthur Yarnell ........... 97 Joseph Drendel ........... 96 E. F. Gloege ............. 89 George ring .............. 41 C. H:'Coffman ............ 101 After " canvassing the votes a resolution was offered by C. H. Coffman and seconded by Arthur Yarnell that F. P. Baldosser, Arthur Yaxnell, and Joseph Drendel for the four year term, and C. H. Coffman for the two year term, be declared elected. This was approved.unanimously- On a mot inn by Arthur Yarnell and seconded by C. H. .Coffman a. vote of thanks was tendered to E. F. Gloage and George ring for the services they have rendered the City of ',,lest Covina during their term of office, and the City Clark was instructed to write each of these Past officials a letter, expressing the gratitude of the City Council for,their services so rendered. This was approved Unanimously.. It was moved by C. H. Coffman and seconded by Arthur Yarnell that the meeting, adjourn. Carried unanimously. A special meeting of the newly, elected council of the City of ';lest Covina was called nor the purpose of 'org'aniza.t ion. This meet- ing was held at the same place and on the same evening as the preceding meeting. Present: Watts, Yarnell, Coffman, Baldosser. Absent: Drendel. It was moved by 'a`atts and seconded' by Coffman that Arthur Yarnell act as temprra.ry chairman. Carried, and Mr. Yarnell called the meeting to order. It was moved by C. H. Coffman and seconded. by Idr. Baldosser that ;l7r. 01at.ts •b.e re-elected Mayor, to serve for the balance of his term. Ayes: Coffman, Yarnell, Baldosser, Noes: ',latts, .Absent : Drennde1.
