West Covina, Calif., = Oct 30, 1929
The Council of the City of Vest Covina met at the West -Covina
Club House on the 30th day of October, 1929. Present, Gloege,
Ming, Watts and Yarnell; absent, Coffman.
Minutes of -the meeting of October 9th read and approved.
A uetition signed by nine property owners aGreein to deed to
the City -of West Covina a strip of land 40 feet in width through
their respective properties, in consideration -that -the City of West
Covina accept the deeds and dedicated the said strip of land as a
public high -way and treat the middle 20 feet with a coat of crushed
rock and oil- said stripp to lie between Lots 4- and 9, 5 and 8-and
• 6 and 7, W. A. Rowland Tract, MB 42, Page 46 Records of Los Angeles
County. It was moved seconded and carried that the foregoing
petition be referred oack to the signers for correction as to
-width of strip of land.proposed to be de.eded to the City of West
Covina.
The Street Superintendent presented.a report on the cost of
operating his .Ford Automobile in the service of West Covina during
the past 30 months, showing the same to average $30.50 per month
for *hick he requested remuneration, whereu on Yarnell.moved that
effective October 1, 1929 and increase of $30.00 per month be allow -
the Street Superintendent; this motion was seconded by Gloege and
carried by the .following vote:
Ayes: Gloege, King, 'Watts and Yarnell.
Noes: None
Absent: Coffman
On motion duly.seconded, the meeting adjourned.
The fore Ding minutes of the meeting of the Council of the
City of West ovina of October 30th,.1229, are duly recorded on
page 193 of the book of records of said Council.
