West Covina, Calif., September 11 , 1929
The Council of the City of West Covina met at the West Covina
Club House on the 11th day of September, 1929, this being the regu-
lar monthly meeting of the said Council. Present Gloege, King,
Watts and Yarnell; absent Coffman.
Minutes of the regular meeting of August 14th and a special
meeting of August 21st, read and approved..
The following bills having been audited by the auditing com-
mittee and read by the Clerk, were on motion by Yarnell, seconded
by King and unanimously carried, allowed and ordered paid:

A communication from the Southern Counties.Gas.Company ask-
-ing permission to excavate at bridges on Lark Ellen, Sunset and
Glendora Avenues for the purpose of making change in their gas
mains, was read and the Clerk was instructed to write the gas
company for further information as to what was proposed.
On motion by Yarnell, seconded by King and unanimously car-
ried the„Street Su erintendent was authorized to purchase and in-
stali 162 feet of No , 14 ga culvert M,Orange
e at Arroyo and Sunset
(slightly west of Sunset) and Arroyo ( slightly.east
of Orange).
A copy of a resolution adopted by the Board of Supervisors.
on September 3rd, authorizing an a propriation of $1 500. for the
impprovement of Orange avenue, et al, within the limits of the
City of West Covina, was read by the Board and ordered filed.
On motion duly.seconded, the meeting adjourned.
The foregoing minutes of the meeting of the Council of the City
of Blest Covina of September 11, 1929 are duly recorded on pagel90
of the book of records of said Council.
