Covina Club House on the loth day of July: 1929. Present, Coff-
man, Gloege, Watts and Yarnell; absent, king.

Some discussion was had relative to the verbal co
made by Leslie Robbins in the matter of the removal by
Superintendent Neaver of a nunber-of branches from-wal
on Cameron Street that were extending out over the-hig
such manner as to be a menance to traffic.

Coffman introduced and moved the adoption of the following
resolution:
"BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of West
Covina:
1. That the Superintendent of Streetsof the City of West
Covina be and he herebyy is instructed to notify all persons owning
land adjoining any public highway in said City on which land trees
are growi: whose branches extend out over said highways in such
manner as 'to obstruct the free passage of loaded vehicles as well
as all other traffic customary thereon, to remove such obstructions
within ten (10) days after notice thereof.
2. That the superintendent of Streets be and is hereby given
authority to remove any such branches of trees so extending over
any highway of the Cit of 'West Covina at any time that such branches
are endangering the lie and property of travelers on said streets
and that the approval of the City Council of the ity of 'Nest
Covina is hereby given to said Superintendent of -btreets for the
work he has already done in removing obstructing branches of trees
from the highways of said City".

Yarnell seconded the motion of Coffman and the foregoing
resolution was adopted by the following vote: 1
Ayes: Coffman, Gloege, Watts, Yarnell
Noes: Done
Absent: King
On motion duly seconded, -the meeting adjourned.
The foregoing minutes -,'.,of the Council of the City of Vilest
Covinats meeting of July 10 1929 are duly recorded on pages 186
and 187 of the book of records of said Council.
