West Covina, Calif., April 17, 1929
The Council of the City of West Covina met at the West -Covina
Club House on the 17th day of April, 1929. Present: Coffman,
Gloege, King, Watts and Yarnell. Absent: None.
Minutes of the meeting, of March 13th read and approved.

The Clerk explained that he had received and deposited the
following amounts:
Southern Counties Gas Co., Franchise Tax 1928 403.51
So. California Edison Co., to - 42.44
The petition filed by Edwin Jobe and others requesting that
certain portions of Rowland and Worlaman Avenues be opened, came
up for further consideration and it was explained by the committee
apppointed to look into this that the signers to the petition did
not constitute 50/ of the street frontage. On motion by Coffman,
seconded by Gloege and carried, the petition was denied for the
reason mentioned and the Clerk eras instructed to so advise the
petitioners.
On motion duly seconded, the meeting adjourned.
The fore oing minutes of the meeting of the Council of the
City of AYE ovina of April 17th are duly recorded on page 182
of the book of records of said Council.
