January 23, 1929.
A special meeting of . the Council of the City of West Covinawa,s kaki,
on the 23rd day of January, 1929. Present Coffman, Gloege, Watts
and Yarnell; absent, Kings
The meeting was called forthe express purpose of meeting
William J. Fox, Chief Engineer of the Regional Planning Commis-
sion of the County of Los Angeles:
Mr. Fox read a corrnmunication addressed to the Council sub-
mitting a plan for the major and sub -major highways as they
ppertain to the City of vest Covina, vihich are projected through
hest Covina from County territory.
Mr. Fox also presented a resolution, approving the maps,
nlans� etc .,��which .he requested be approved by the Council of
the Cityy of u7est Covina. The entire Council, while understand-
Rthat the resolution in question was not in any manner bind-
ing upon the City of West Covina, but merely a plan to work to
when such proposed hi ways are considered, yet all were agreed
that they would like have.one;or two weeks time in which to
consider the proposition. whereupon it was moved by Coffman
seconded by Yarnell and unanimously carried that the resolution
be held for one or two weeks for -consideration by the Council.
Mr. Fox was assured that -the Council.would'meet either on
January 30th or February 6th, when definite action would be
taken.
On motion duly seconded, .the meeting adjourned.
