April 16, 1928.
The Council of the City of West Covina met at the West
Covina Club House on the 16th day of April, 1928, being the Mon-
day following the municipal election held April 9, 1928. Present

Councilmen Mege, King, Watts and Yarnell. Absent Councilman
Maxson.
, The meeting was called to order
by the Clerk, and on motion of Councilman King, seconded by Coun-
cilman Gloege, and duly carried, Mr. Yarnell was elected Ilayor
Pro -Teen who informed the Council that the meeting had been
,called for the -express purpose of canvassing the vote of the
municipal election held on April 9, 1928.
The total registered voters in precinctNo.1 was 195 and in
. precinct No.2 161, or a total of 356 in the two precincts.
The result of the canvass showed a total of 163 votes cast
in the one consolidated voting place, as follows:B. F. Maxson, Councilman 150 votes

A resolution was introduced and adopted declaring the follow-
ing named candifttes to have been duly elected to the following
named offices in the City of nest Covina for the following terms:
B. F. Maxson, Trustee for four years.
S. L. Watts, trustee for four years'.
C. D. Wolfinger clerk for four years.
Millie Lois Watts, treasurer for four years.
Certificates of election were duly made out and delivered to
each of the above.named officials and oath of office was administer-
ed to each, with the exception of B. F. Maxson, who is sick and it
is not possible to do this at this time.
On motion duly made, seconded.and carried the meeting ad-
j ourned .
The above minutes of the meeting of the Council of the City
of West Covina of April 16, 1928 are duly recorded on page 148
of the book of records of said Council.
