West Covina, Calif., February -29, 1948.
The Council of the City of 'Jest Covina met at the West Covina,
Club House on the 29th day of February, 1928. Prauent Councilmen
Gloege, Maxson, Watts and Yarnell. Absent Councilman King.
Minutes of the meeting of February 15th read and approved.
The following bills, Navin been audited by the auditing com-
mittee, on motion of Councilman -Yarnell, seconded by Councilman Watts
and unanimously carried, were allowed and the Clerk was instructed to
dray warrants for the same

Street Superintendent Weaver estimated the cost of paving cer—
tain streets as follows:
(1) Willow Ave, Merced south to 1,11alnut ti„gash, 1300 feet,

(2PCovina St, Merced north to Cameron, 2600 feet, No.
2 oil macadam, 18 feet aide 1500.00
(3) Vincent Ave, Arroyo north to Puente, 3750 feet,
light No-3 oil macadam, 18 feet wide 2000.00
(41 Rowland on south 8ide,-east from Lark Ellen to
East City limits, 3.60o feet, 18 feet wide, No.2 oil
Macadam 3000.00
Total of estimate, 711o.00.
Discussion followed.and it was moved by Councilman Watts, se-
conded by Councilman Yarnell and unanimously carfied that the Street
Superintendent be authorized to proceed with the words on Willow Ave,
Covina St and Vincent Ave. in the order mentioned as as numbered
above; if on completion off' the three projects, there remains suffi-
cient funds to do the work on Rowland, it will be done or it may be
i decided to terminate this paving half way in the first block, as the
Council may later elect.
On motion duly made,. seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned.
