West Covina, Calif., April 6, 1927.
The Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina met at the
West Covina Club House on the 6th day of 8pri1 1927. Present
Trustees Gloege, King, 1,.raxson, lUatts and �arneil. Absent, None.
11inutes of the meeting of starch 23rd read and approved.
The following bills, having been audited by the auditing com-
mittee, on motion of Trustee Yarnell, seconded by Trustee Gloege
and carried, were allowed and the Clerk instructed to draw warrants
for the same:

On motion of Trustee e`latts, seconded by Trustee Yarnell and
carried, the Clerk was instructed to issue a permit to George King
to put in a bridge or culvert opposite the 8lmer King residence on
Vincent Street as per: -.specifications furnished by the City Engin-
eer.
On motion of Trustee ulatts, seconded by Trustee Yarnell and
carried the Clerk was instructed to grant the Home Telephone Com-
pany the pennit they requested covering the setting of new poles
and guy wires on Puente Street and Irwindale Avenue, as per blue
prints on file.
On motion of Trustee Yarnell, seconded by Trustee Watts and
carried, the --Clerk was instructed to write Mr. E. C. Stoltz say-
ing that the Board sanctions th6 two culverts opposite his res-
idence on Arroyo Drive only as temporary and that culverts of a
�ercnanent nature according to specifications to be given by the
ity Engineer be put in to replace these -temporary culverts in
the near future.
Two petitions, having to do with the opening of Rowland and
Workman Avenues between Vincent and Irwindale Avenues, a,.nd the
opening of Rowland Avenue from Vincent Avenue to a connection
with streets now, open in the vicinity of Baldwin Park, viere re-
sented and read by the Clerk, zrhereupon Trustee �`latts moved hat
the petitions be accepted and placed on file and that the Presi-
dent appoint a committee of three to look into the matter and get
the feeling of the residents as regards such an improvement dis-
trict and report back to the Board; this motion was duly seconded
by Trustee Yarnell and carried. The President then appointed
vlatts, Yarnell.and Gloege as the coranittee.

117 and 118 of the book _orf records of said board.
