The Board of Trustees of the City of Viest Covina. met at the West Covina Club House on the 5th day of January, 1927. Present Trustees Gloege, King, IlLaxson, Watts and Yarnell; absent, None. Uinutes of the meeting of December 14th read and approved. The following bills, having been audited. by the auditing commit- tee, on motion of Trustee Yarnell, seconded by Trustee Gloege and • carried, were allowed and the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants for the same: Viney-Milliken Lumber Co., Cement V. Harvey D. �datts, Surveying Total, 9.00 96. oo 96.00 312.00 125.00 22.50 $ 66o . 5o A drainage easement(RD108) executed b Charles P. Ke:ndall, et ux, Henry.11. Kendall, et ux, and the Southern a.lifornia Edison Company covering a small portion of their property on the north side o Covina Boulevard, easterly of Baldwin Park, was read and upon motion -of Trustee Watts, seconded by Trustee Yarnell and carried, was ordered accepted and. placed of record. A delegation of residents of Vest Covina and Baldwin Park, with Vir. Patterson as their spokesman, were present and requested the Board .of Trustees of the City of guest Covina to sponsor a call for a mass meeting of everybody interested, at which it is hoped a practical plan for the handling of flood waters may be outlined, which is to be presented to the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County with a request for such action as will properly care for flood waters for all time. Considerable discussion followed, whereupon Trustee Watts offered the followin resolution: ,,RESOLVED, that to show the individual interest of the members of the Board and the interest of the City of West Covina in the matters at issue, the Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina does agree to sponsor the call for such mass meeting, to be held at some undeter- mined date; this resolution was duly seconded by Trustee King.and un- animously carried. Ordinance P'0.31 entitled "An ordinance providing for the creation, in the City of West Covina, of zones consisting of various districts and prescribing the classes of buildings structures and improvements in the said several zones, and the uses thereof" came up for its first reading and was read by the Clerk. Thereupon, on motion duly made, seconded and -carried., the meeting adjourned. 112' The fore oing minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City o Viest Covina of January 5, 1927 are duly recorded on pages 111 and 112 of `the book of records of said board.
