MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE
CITY OF QUEST COVINA
West Covina, Calif., August 18, 1926.
The Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina met at the
West Covina Club House on the 18th day of August, 1926. Present
Trustees Gloege, King, Maxson, Watts amd Yarnell. Absent, None.
Minutes of the meeting of August 11th read and approved.
Ordinance No 30 entitled u An ordinance fixing the tax rate
for municipal purposes for the fiscal year 1926-1927,1 came up
for its first reading and was read by the Clerk.
Discussion followed on the adviseability of the appointment
of a City Engineer for the City of West Covina, to serve with-
out any fixed salary and to be paid for his services as the
same may, from timed time, be demanded, whereupon it was
moved by Trustee Gloege, seconded by Trustee Yarnell and unani-
mousl3t carried that 11r. Harvey D. Watts be appointed City Engin-
eer.
A resolution, approving map of West Covina as prepared by
Engineer H. D. Watts as the official map of the City oT West
Covina was introduced by Trustee Gloege., this resolution was
duly seconded by Trustee King and was passed by the following
vote: Ayes: Gloege, King, Maxson, Watts and Yarnell. Noes: None
Thereupon on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the
meeting adjourned.
The fofe oing minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees
of the City of West Covina of Au,5ust 18, 1926 are duly recorded
on page 105 of the boof of record. of said board.
