08-11-1926 - Regular Meeting - Minutes103 • • MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES of the CITY OF WEST COVINA West Covina, Calif., August 11,1926 The Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina met -it the West Covina Club House on the 11th dayofAugust 1926. Present Trustees Gloege, King, Maxson and Yarnell; absent Trustee Watts. Minutes of the meeting of July 21st read and approved. A petition requesting the opening of Workman Avenue from its present terminus to a point on Pacific Avenue, was pre- sented by Messrs. Baldosser and Dewey, and .upon motion of Trustee Gloege, seconded by Trustee Yarnell and carried, add petition was ordered placed on file. The following bills having been audited by the auditing committee, on motion of �rustee Yarnell, seconded by Trustee Gloege and carried, were allowed and the Clerk instructed to ' draw warrants for the same: Wayne Weaver, Teams 52.00 Ford 52.00 Supt 65.00 Vacation 70.00 Standard Oil Co H . Wilson State Compemsation Insurance Fund Reliance Rock Co Total 23900 29.97 251 .25 4o . oo 64.0o 52.00 56.78 76.75 4o.35 1oo.o6 95o .16 A map of a subdivision being that of Tract No.8497, which lies within three miles of the exterior boundaries of the City of West Covina, and submitted by the County Surveyor, came up for examination by the Board of Trustees, and upon favorable report on said map by theCity Engineer of the City of West Covina, a resolution was introduced by Trustee Yarnell appro- ving map of said tract No.8497; this resolution was duly seconded by Trustee Gloege and approved by a unanimous vote and.the Clerk was instructed to so advise the County Surveyor. Ordinance No.27 entitled flan ordinance providing for the appointment of a Superintendent of Building"11 came up for its second reading and was read by the Clerk, rvhereaon Trustee Yarnell moved that said ordinance be laced on s passage, this motion was duly seconded by Trustee Gloege and was car- ried by the following vote: Ayes Gloege, King, Maxson and Yar- nell; Noes, None. Trustee King moved that said ordinance No.27 be adopted, which motion was duly seconded by Trustee Yarnell and carried b� the following vote: Ayes,.Gloege, King, Maxson and Yarnell, Noes. None. 1 o4 Ordinance No.28 entitled ,An ordinance regulating the construction, repar idemolition and removal of buildiri$s or other structures in the City of West Covina, and providing for the issuing of permits therefore came up for its second reading and was read by the Clerk whereupon Trustee Gloege moved that said ordinance No.28 be placed on its passage- this motion was duly seconded by Trustee King and carried by the following vote: Ayes, Gloege, King, Matson and Yarnell; Noes, None. Trustee Yarnell moved that said ordinance No.28 be adopted, which motion was duly seconded by Trustee King and carried by the following vote: Ayes, Gloege, King, Maxson and Yarnell; Noes, None. Ordinance No.29 entitled ,An ordinance regulating the mov- ing streets of any building or other structure along public of • West Covina" came up for its second readingand was read by the Clerk, whereupon Trustee Kirk moved that said ordinance No.29 be placed on its passage, this motion was duly seconded by Trustee Gloege and carried by the following vote: Ayes, Gloege, Ping, Matson and Yarnell; Noes, None. Trustee Gloege moved that said ordinance No.29 be adopted, which motion was duly seconded by Trustee Yarnell and carried by the following vote: Ayes, Gloege, King, Matson and Yarnell; Noes, None. The vacation allowance of 14 days or $70.001 made Street Superintendent and included in his check or warrant above men- tioned, was authorized by motion of Trustee King, seconded by Trustee Gloege and unanimously carried. Thereupon on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned. The foregoing minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina of August 11 1926 are duly recorded on pages 103 and 104 of the -book of records of said board.
