MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
of the
CITY OF WEST COVINA
Widest Covina, Cal., August 19, 1925.
The Board of Trustees of the Cityy of West Covina met at
the West Covina Club house on the 19th day of August, 1925.
Present Trustees Gloege, King, Nlaxson and I'datts; absent Trustee
Yarnell.
Minutes of the meeting of August 5th read and approved.
The following bills. having been audited by the auditing
committee, upon motion of Trustee Watts, seconded by Trustee
King and carried. were allowed and the Clerk instructed to
draw warrants fo the same:

Ordinance No.2fentitled "An ordinance fixing the tax rate
for the municipal purposes for the fiscal yyear 1925-1926" came
up for its first reading and was read. by tile Clerk.
Considerable discussion hollowed on the subject of Arroyo
Drive. City Attorney Wilson explained that', -he had been in con-
sultation with D-:r. 1Jattoon and learned that a case similar to
ours was to come up before the Supreme Court.as a test case and
he advised that we defer any further action until the legality
of the various ankles had been established - t1fle.Supreme Court
is to meet sarne time in September.
Thereupon, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the
meeting adjourned to meet on call at 7 o'clock P.lk.%
