MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEF,S
of the
CITY OIL' WEST COVINA
West Covina, Cal., July 8, 1925.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Vilest Covina met at
the West Covina Club House on the 8th day of July, 1925. Pre-
sent Trustees Gloege, King, Maxson, Vvatts and Yarnell; absent
none.
Minutes of the meeting of June 17th read and approved.
The following bills having• been audited by the auditing
committee, upon motion of Trustee Watts, seconded by Trustee
• Yarnell and 6arr.ied., were allowed and the Clerk was instructed
to dray warrants for the same:

Trustee Maxson, speaking for the committee named to ascer-
tain a. price at which right of wa for the proposed Arroyo
Drive hi&hway could. be had throuVi the Williams and IUIcCandless
pro erties, stated that the committee had interviewed these
parMs but that nothing definite in way of a price was decided
upon.
Trustee Uvatts, as Chairman of the committee named to inter-
view Supervisor Cogswell, reported that the committee had met
with Mr. Cogswell, who advised them to arrange for a. meeting
with M.r. Mattoon, and a further conference with Cogswell an
P7attoon was suggested and approved.
Street Superintendent Weaver reported that he had called
upon the County Road Department Frith" reference to a. little
assistance he desired to enable him to do the necessary patch-
ing, and was informed that the County would furnish us 9o/
oil at 8 cents per gallon and the use of a. trailer at the rate
of 25 cents per hour and added that.it would be necessary for
the Board to pass a resolution authorizen, this expenditure
and. instructing the Clerk to send a certified co.gy of such
resolution to she County Road Department c/o J. C. Veenhuyzen,
1104, Hall of Records, whereupon Trustee Kin • moved the adop-
tion of such resolution, which was seconded by Trustee Watts
and adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Gloege, King, hiaxson,
Watts and Yarnell; noes: Pone.
Thereupon, on motion duly made , seconded and carried,the
meeting adjourned to meet on call at 7 o'clock P.M.
