MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA.
West Covina, Cal., March 18, 1925.
The Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina met at
the West Covina, Club House on the 18th day of march, 1925.
Present: Trustees Gloege, King, Maxson, Watts and Yarnell;
absent: None.
Minutes of the meeting of March 11th read and approved.
• The following bills, having been audited by the auditing
committee, on motion of Trustee Watts, seconded by Trustee
Yarnell and carried, were allowed and the Clerk instructed to
draw warrants for the same:
Builders Crushed Rock Products Co 323.59
Gilmore Oil Co 635.28
Total, $ 958.87
Discussion followed on the metropolitan outfall sewer
and the advisability of West Covina petitioning the Supervis-
ors formation
join Covina, San Dimas and other cities interested in
the of a sewer district. On motion o._ Trustee
Watts, seconded by Trustee Gloege and carried it was decided
to have the President of thy, Poard secure Mr. Warren to address
a mass meeting of the citizens of West Covina. at an early date
at which every one interested could get an idea of just what
was proposed Lo be done and the erproximate expense it would
entail; the Clerk was instructed to have 350 post cards printed
to be distributed among the voters, to give each a chance to
voice a "yes" or "no,, sentiment, the result of which will enable
the Board of Trustees to make a definite decision as to whether
or not West Covina, will pass a. resolution petitioning the Super-
visors to join in the sewer district which is proposed to be
formed .
The committee workirig on the proposed County High -way were
instructed to ascertain whether a 60 foot road would be accept-
able and repotted that the County would not accept less than
• an 80 foot road with the;cost of paving thereof on a 50.- 50
basis.
Thereupon, on motion duly made, secomded and carried, the
meetin adjourned to meet on call. at 7 o'clock P.H.
