MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
of the
CITY OF IV -EST COVINA
West Covina, Cal., June 25, 1924.
The Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina met at the West
Covina Club House on the 25th day of June, 1924.
Present: Trustees Gloege, King, Maxson, Watts and Yarnell.
Minutes of the meeting of 11ay 28th were read and approved..
The following bills, having been audited by the auditing commit-
tee, on motion of Trustee Yarnell, seconded by Trustee Watts and
carried, were allowed and the Clerk instructed to draw warrants for
the same:.

Considerable discussion followed on the claim of H. W. Bender, he
contending, and. correctly, that vie were in error in including the
improvements on his Glendora Avenue property, in his West Covina tax
list; also a similar claim made by Dr. G. D. Jennings that his per-
sonal property should not have been included. in his Vest Covina Tax
list - taxes in both instances hafting been paid under protest. On
motion of Trustee Watts, seconded by Trustee Yarnell, and carried, the
Clerk was instructed to accurately determine the amounts overpaid and
authorized to draw warrrants for the amounts to be refunded.
Thereupon, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meet-
ing adjourned to meet on call at 7 o'clock P.M.

51 of the book of records of said. board.
