CITY OF WEST COVINA
West Covina, Cal., Apr.il.21, 1924.
An organization meeting of the newly elected officers of the
City of West Covina was held at the West Covina Club house this
date for the purpose of canvassing the vote of the municipal elec-
tion held on April 14, 1924.
Present; Trustees Gloege, King; Maxson, Watts and Yarnell.
Absent; none.
The total registration of duly qualified electors was 152 in
precinct No.1 and 29 in precinct No.2, or a total of 181.
The result of the canvass showed a total of'45 votes cast in
the one olling place, as follows:

Maxson, Watts and Yarnell having each received the same number
of votes, the question of the two out of the three, who were elected
for the four year term was determined by lot, which resulted in
favor of 'laxson and Watts-, whereupon a resolution was introduced
and adopted declaring the following named candidates to have been
duly elected to the following nameoffices of the City of 'nest
Covina for the followings:terms:
B. F. Maxson, Trustee for four years
S. L. Watts, Trustee for four years
E. F. Gloege, Trustee for two years
George King, Trustee for two years
A. Yarnell, Trustee for taro years
C. D. Wolfin er, Clerk for &&& year$.
B. W. Yarnell; Treasurer for oae year;.{
Certificates of election were duly made out and delivered to
each of the above named officials and oath of office was administer-
ed to each.
Nominations for Mayor, or President of the Board of Trustees,
were declared in order and B. F. Maxson, the only nominee, was
declared unanimously elected.
C. D. Wolfinger, the only nominee for City Recorder, was de-
clared unanimously elected.
Wayne Weaver, the only nominee for City Marshall and Street
Superintendent, was declared unanimously elected.
Emmet H. Wilson the only nominee for City Attorney, was de-
clared unanimolaj ehect d.
BeulahW. a ne t e only nominee for City Treasurer, was
declared unanimously elected.

This having concluded the organization :matters for which
the meeting was called, on motion duly made, seconded and carried
the meeting adjourned.
The above minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Vilest Covina, held for organization purposes on
April 21, 1924, are duly recorded on pages 46 and 47 of book of
records of said board. .
