MUMS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
of the
CITY OF 'JEST COVINA
West Covina, Cal., January 16, 1924.
The Board of 'Trustees of the City of West Covina met at the
'-Jest Covina Club F'ouse on the 16th day of January, 1924.
Present: Trustees, King, Maxson, Watts and Yarnell; absent
Anderson.
Minutes of the meeting of January 2, 1924 were read and appro-
ved.
The following bills having been audited by the auditing com-
mittee, on motion of Trustee Yarnell., seconded by Trustee King and
carried, Prere allowed and the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants
for the same:
Hurley Brothers Boulevard Blacksmith Shop 2.50
Regina G. Dorton 33.75
Emmet E. Wilson 225.00

On motion of Trustee Watts, seconded. by 'Trustee Yarnell and
carried the office of Treasurer of the City of nest Covina was de-
clafed vacant.
On motion of Trustee Watts, seconded by Trustee King and car-
ried, Beulah Tv. Yarnell was selected. to fill the office of Treas-
urer of the City of West Covina.
Ordinance No.18 entitled 11 an ordinance repealing Ordinance
V0.15 entitled " can ordinance permittin, the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Los Angeles to use certain streets within the
City limits of the City of West Covina for the purpose of con-
structing and maintaining the same came up for its first reading
and was read by the Clerk.
■Ordinance No.19 entitled 11 an ordinance permitting the Board
of Supervisors of the Count of Los Angeles to use certain streets
of the City of West Covina for the nose of constructing and
maintaining the same came up for Js �irst reading and was read by
the Clerk.
Ordinance No.20 entitled 11 an ordinance providing for the
assessment and collection of taxes for municipal purposes by the
County Assessor and County Tax Collector of the Countyy of Los
Angeles came up for its first reading and was read by the Clerk.
Thereupon on motion duly made, seconded and carried., the meet-
ing adjourned to meet on call at 7 o � clock P.It .
The fore oing minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees
of the City o West Covina of January 16, 1924, are duly recorded
on page 37 of the book of records of said board.
