)IINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

CITY OF WEST COVINA
West Covina, Cal., September 12,19 23
The Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina met at the
West Covina Club house on the 12th day of September, 1923.
Present, Messrs. Anderson, King, L11axson, Watts and Yarnell.
Absent, None.
Minutes of the regular meeting of August 29th were read and
• approved.
Ordinance No.16 entitled "an ordinance fixing the tax rate fnr
municipal purposes for the fiscal year, 1923-24" came up for its
second. reading and was read by the Clerk. Trustee Watts moved,
seconded byAnderson, that the said ordinance be placed on its
passage, which motion was adopted by the following vote: Ayes;
Anderson, King, Haxson, Watts and Yarnell. None; none.
On motion of Trustee Watts, seconded by Anderson, the said
ordinance was adopted by the following vote: Ayes; Anderson, King,
kaxson, Watts and Yarnell. Noes; None.
The following bills having been audited by the auditing com-
mittee, on motion of Trustee. Watts, seconded. by King which was
carried., they were allowed and the Clerk instructed to draw war-
rants for the same:
Hurley Brothers, Supplies 6.50
Gilmore Petroleum Co. Road Oil 88.53
Viney-Milliken Lbr Co. Bridge Repairs 53.83
Wayne Weaver, Labor 82.50
" Teams 124.00
Harry Dulin, Labor 46.00
Laura Rowland, " 34.00
Tony Conde, " _ 40.00
Total, $ 475.36
Thereupon, on motion duly made seconde& and carried, the
meeting adjourned tg meet on call at 7 o'clock P.D.
