MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
of the
CITY OF WEST COVINA
West Covina, Cal., August 1, 1923.
The Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina met at the
West Covina Club House on the let day of August, 1923.
Present, Messrs. King, Maxson, Watts and Yarnell.
Absent, Anderson.
• Minutes of the meeting of July 25th were read and approved.
On motion of Trustee King seconded by Yarnell, which was
carried, the President of the toard of Trustees was authorized to
appoint an auditing committee of two and accordingly appointed
Messrs. King and Yarnell to act in this capacity.
On motion of Trustee Watts, seconded by Yarnell, which was
carried, the following bills, having been audited by the auditing
committee, were allowed and the Clerk instructed to draw warrants
for the same
State Compensation Insurance Fund, Premium $ 49.11

On motion of Trustee Watts, seconded by King, which was carried
the bid of the Austin#.Western Road Machinery Company in sum of
$2502.65, covering road maintenance machinery was ordered accepted
and the clerk instructed to so notify the Austin -Western Company.
On motion of Trustee Yarnell, seconded by King, which was
carried, President Maxson and Trustee Watts were named as a commit-
tee of two to work in conJuction with the Street Superintendent in
outlining the work to be done from time to time.
Thereupon, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meet-
ting adjourned to meet on call at 7 o'clock P.M.
