MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
of the
CITY OF WEST COVINA
West Covina., Cal, June 27, 1923.
The Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina met at the
West Covina Club House on the 27th day of June, 192.3.
Present, Messrs. Anderson, King, Paxson, Watts and Yarnell.
• Minutes of the meeting of June 6th were read and approved.
On motion of Director Watts, seconded by Yarnell, which was
carried, a committee of two, namely, Messrs Nax'son and Watts was
appointed to investigate ways and means to supply funds for the
immediate needs of the City of West Covina.
The matter of sign -posting of roads was discussed and the
Clerk was intructed to again take up the matter with the Automo-
bile Club and to request that a combination sign to include both.
"City Limits" and "Heavy Traffic Prohibited be supplied., and to
„eiuest further that 21 of the combination signs and 2 of the
City Limits signs, or a total of 23, which will permit of the
sign -posting of all roads, be installed as early as possible.
On motion of Director Watts, seconded by Anderson, which was
carried, the Street Superintendent was authorized to pay a rate
Of $4.00 per day for additional help required in street mainten-
ance work.
On motion of Director Watts, seconded by Anderson, which was
carried, e, committee of two, namely, Messrs. Yarnell and King., !:ere
appointed to confer with the Street Superintendett and make an in-
vestigation as to road machinery best suited for our requirements
and the approximate cost thereof.
Thereupon, on motion duly made, seconded and carried the meet-
ing adjourned to meet on call at 7 o'clock P.M.
